Regional basketball tournaments underway

Here is the breakdown from the Arkansas Activities Association on the first two days of the Regional Basketball Tournaments across the state.

The Regional for 3A is just down the road at Manila, while local 2A teams are playing at Midland High School at Pleasant Plains. The town is located near the intersection of Highways 167 and 87 about mid-way between Newport and Heber Springs as the crow flies. The most direct route appears to be to Newport, on to Oil Trough and west on 157 to 167. The high school is located at 7249 Batesville Blvd, which is also 157/87 south. I assume local fans can find Manila High School.
